-Thank you For Your Patience-

Sometime between June 9-11 2007 a piece of hose, the size of a pencil, burst soaking the walls, floors, and woodwork of our Bridgewater practice. Upon inspection of the damage by an environmental hygiene firm, they estimated 6 to 8 months to remove the wet materials, treat and repair the extensive damage. Four months would be needed to build out raw space at a new location if we could find one.

Upon hearing such unfortunate news, my first impulse was to pray- “Lord, I need a miracle!” Within the hour, my prayer was answered. A realtor notified me of an unoccupied dental office that was five miles away and available for lease immediately.

Within days my staff and I packed up our five operatories and relocated to our new temporary location on Plank Road. With this miracle, my faith has climbed to new heights. As the scripture says “My God shall supply all my needs,” and it is true.

Although our practice has remained open during these formidable 9 months, we have been more than anxious to return to our true home at Bridgewater. During the move, we’ve purchased new equipment for our office including motion-activated dental lights, and a low exposure portable x-ray.

Our renovations not only began with the idea of an updated look, but also establishing a more eco-friendly and hypoallergenic practice. Eco-friendly changes includes the renewable and earth-friendly product of bamboo as our flooring, but with the appearance of oak. No adhesives were needed to set the flooring. In addition, we have not only simply changed our light fixtures, but have changed them to be more green and energy-efficient. To reduce the burden on our more sensitive patients, we have chosen ‘no VOC ‘ paint to eliminate any and all paint odors. We’ve also installed Hepa filters to assure high quality indoor air, while the heating / air conditioning was upgraded for increased efficiency and humidity control.

Although  the simple bursting of a piece of hose has led our practice down a rocky path of changes and uncertainty, it has now become a miraculous blessing. Every effort of this move has been made to be a good steward of all God’s blessed us with. What once was a big, messy catastrophe, the Lord has used for good. Thank you for patiently waiting for us to move back and being part of this miracle.
